Vibe Youth Outreach – Ingleby Barwick
Yarm Vineyard Church runs youth outreach drop-ins, schools work and detach outreach teams on the Ingleby Barwick estate in Stockton-On-Tees. During the summer holidays, 2009, the youth group ran Vibe outreach week. The Vibe event, which received £2,200 from the Rose Education Foundation, ran loads of exciting activities for local young people including; the Tees Valley Youth for Christ Football Cage, Baseball Batting Cage, a huge Skate Park, an outdoor Youth Café and various workshops from 1pm-6pm for a week . The events took place on the near the new Romano Park and Tesco store. The Vibe team trained local young people in mission and youth outreach, who helped to serve over 300 young people from the Ingleby estate over the week. The Vibe event helped the Church build relationships with young people who they continue to see on a weekly basis flowing the event.
“The funding from the Rose Education Foundation helped us to run activities with young people that we just could not afford to run ourselves. We connected with a number of young people that we still see every week since the Vibe, where we continue to run a youth club and sports outreach event.”

The cage is also hired for events and parties.
“With the funding from the Rose Education Foundation, alongside funding from Stockton Borough Council Sports Development and from the Goshen Trust, TVYFC were able to purchase the trailer and mobile sports cage that is used across the Tees Valley with young people from a whole range of backgrounds. This funding has been essential to us in developing new ministries that are used to help us in our mission to take the Good News to the young people of the Tees Valley.”

G:em (Girls Empowered)
G:em girls ministry, based in the Tees Valley, works in the following values: – Every girl is precious to God; they should be empowered to know the truth and freedom of his love and acceptance so can choose to root their identity in Him. – Every girl has a call on her life; they should be empowered to discover this and be equipped to fulfil this. – Every girl is valuable to another; they should be empowered to develop accountable and genuine relationships. G:em received funding from the Rose Education Foundation to develop their different events. The funding enabled G:em to grow in three areas:
G:em Chick Flix are nights for local girls to chill out and have a laugh with big screen movies and a lot of cushions. Chick Flix are open to anyone, as long as they’re female, mates, mums, aunts, sisters… who all enjoy movies together.
G:em Workshop Days are action-packed, fun-filled, super-challenging days of excitement. In the past there have been workshops in street-dance, singing, head message, basketball, nail art and cheer-leading, but who knows what might be on offer in the future. There are also opportunities for chat, music, games, shopping, challenges and more so get yourself along to the next Gem Workshop Day.
The G:em Girls Night In is always a fantastic evening of Worship, Teaching and Prayer. What better way to spend an evening? These nights are open to girls of all ages who want to spend a bit of time in God’s presence and be inspired afresh.
